SHEIN Image & Video Downloader is an independent Chrome extension that downloads images, color-variant media and videos belonging to the current supported SHEIN product page. The extension does not require an extension account, Google sign-in or a scraping API key. It contains no advertising, analytics, telemetry or behavioral tracking.

Data handled for the extension™ single purpose

The extension handles only data needed to provide its current-product media workflow and licensing:

• The active supported SHEIN product page, including product identifiers, variant labels and media URLs.
• User settings and optional per-product media selections.
• A truncated hash ledger of up to 500 unique product identities, used only to operate the free allowance.
• A Gumroad license key and minimal entitlement status when the user chooses to activate Pro.
• Files selected by the user for download or export.

Local product processing

Current-product page content is processed inside the browser. The extension is designed to exclude customer reviews, Matching Styles, Customers Also Viewed, related products, recently viewed products, social icons and unrelated page media.

The developer does not receive SHEIN product pages, product URLs, product identifiers, media URLs, images, videos or download history.

Free-allowance storage

The extension creates a truncated SHA-256 hash from a canonical product identity and stores the hash in Chrome local storage. When Chrome Sync is available, the same ledger may be stored in small Chrome Sync chunks. The ledger does not contain product images, videos, media URLs, customer-review media or SHEIN account information.

Google processes Sync data according to the user’s Chrome and Google account settings.

Gumroad license verification

When the user selects Activate, Check license now or Deactivate this browser, the extension sends the following directly to Gumroad over HTTPS:

• Gumroad product ID
• Gumroad license key
• Whether Gumroad’s activation counter should be incremented for a new browser activation

Gumroad returns purchase or membership status. The extension stores only fields required for entitlement checks: the license key, masked key, status, activation count, relevant status dates and verification timestamps. It does not retain the buyer email, sale ID, subscription ID or payment details.

The license key is not sent to the developer’s own server. Gumroad’s privacy terms govern information processed by Gumroad.

Media downloads

Selected image and video files are requested directly from supported SHEIN and media-CDN hosts and saved through Chrome Downloads. Media is not uploaded to the developer.

Data sharing

Data is shared only where required for a user-requested feature:

• With SHEIN or its media CDN to request selected media.
• With Google through Chrome Sync when the user has Sync enabled.
• With Gumroad for license verification and activation management.

The developer does not sell, rent or use user data for advertising.

Data deletion

Users can remove stored data by:

• Selecting Deactivate this browser to remove the local license record and request release of the Gumroad activation counter.
• Removing the extension or clearing its extension storage to delete local settings and the local usage ledger.
• Managing Chrome Sync data through their Google account settings if Sync has stored the hash ledger.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information handled by this extension is limited to providing its clearly disclosed product-media download and licensing functions and follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
